Situated in the Alexandra basin of Central Otago, Drumsara produces premium, cool-climate Pinot Noir. Even by their third vintage, they'd clocked up two Trophies for 'Best Pinot Noir'. Enjoy dark cherry fruit with clove and cinnamon complexity.
Treat yourself to one of the world’s finest Pinot Gris. It may not be labelled 'Grand Cru', like many of the Zind Humbrecht wines are, but it tastes like one. Tiny yields, exemplary volcanic soils ensure an opulent, lusciously layered 94 point white.
This toasty, complex, well aged vintage fizz is something of a collector’s item. That’s because the little Berkshire vineyard it came from is no more. It's pure Chardonnay, made by the Champagne method, with ripe fruit and toasty brioche length.
Duemani CiFRA 2019 is a fabulous Super Tuscan red, using the pure herbaceous and raspberry fruit of Cabernet Franc.All biodynamically grown in prized Maremma, it's "a bright and articulate entry-level wine from this top-level estate" (Wine Advocate).
The Gold Star label from this winery is reserved for wines that really stand out for quality. That's very true of this rich, dark Merlot, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah blend, all from top Napa subregions. A velvety, spiced fruit Napa red to snap up.
Les Pichères is a gorgeous rich red from the northern Rhône's prized Crozes-Hermitage. Since 2004 the domaine’s been run by one of the region’s top names, Chapoutier. This red displays their hallmark excellence, along with the superb quality of 2021.
Rosso di Montalcino is the little brother of the great Brunello, and one that you can enjoy drinking a little earlier. This is from the remarkable Giacomo Neri, who has not only scored an almost unheard of 100 Parker points once, but twice!
