This wine has won Gold and 94pts at the International Wine Awards 2020. James Suckling rated it 90 pts, and the World's Best Sommelier, Andreas Larsson, rated it 92pts. Andreas praised the wine as "ambitious and age worthy". Indeed, it will cellar well until 2027 – but no need to wait that long and you can enjoy now! It's a luxurious and powerful red which goes well with BBQ duck or pork.
Altos was founded in 2006 and since then has already won over 260 top awards, including 125 Golds and Trophies for 'Spanish Winery of the Year', 'Reserva of the Year' and 'Crianza of the Year'. Pure Tempranillo aged 18 months in barrel, a fine, expressive red, almost Burgundian in style.
