Corsiero Nero is an exciting 'black red' from the sun-soaked vineyards of Puglia in the south of Italy, a region with "undreamed-of character and potential" (Hugh Johnson). It's one of our most-loved, bestselling Italian reds. And no wonder! It's a decadently rich and velvety treasure that seduces from the very first sip. On offer today is the even richer, even more intense version – the gold-plated, old-vine Corsiero Nero Purosangue 2018 – a turbo-charged 'thoroughbred' Italian Stallion you MUST try!
The region …Corsiero Nero Purosangue is made with top quality old vine Nero di Troia fruit sourced from the foothills of the Apennines overlooking the Gargano Peninsula in northern Puglia (the hot, sunny heel of Italy's boot).
The grape … takes its name from the nearby town of Troia, which was founded by Greek hero Diomedes after sacking the city of Troy in Asia Minor. 'Nero di Troia' translates roughly to 'Black of Troy'. (Corsiero Nero means 'Black Charger' – like the trusty steed on the label).
And the wine? Get ready for a glass-stainingly deep colour, with bewitching flavours of blackberry, violet, smoky vanilla and oak, all framed by a silky- smooth texture, with a long, intense finish.
This is a superb match to traditional pizza or pasta but goes wonderfully with roast meats as well. It's a must-have for your wine rack – especially at this incredible low price!
This luscious Italian treasure is always a quick seller. At this price it will absolutely race out the door. Don't miss out! Put your order in TODAY.
