Low Stock Champagne Brigitte Delmotte Réserve (half bottle) NV

Champagne Brigitte Delmotte Réserve (half bottle) NV

Item Code: 4298422

Description

Brut Reserve artisan Champagne with fruit finesse and boasting two Gold medals, in handy half bottle.

Over 170 years of experience have gone into the making of this ripe tangerine and toasted brioche Champagne.

It's the work of 5th-generation winemaker Julian Fourrier, whose father, Philippe, created this special cuvée in honour of his wife, Brigitte. Her maiden name was Delmotte.

The grapes are a classic blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay taken from vineyards first planted by Philippe and Brigitte.

All the family's 18 hectares of vines lie within Champagne's little known Côte des Bar, described by Wine Folly as "the hottest Champagne region right now".

Made traditionally, this fine fizz was aged four years on its lees to enhance its rich toasty flavour.

Presented in a handy half bottle - perfect as a celebratory bottle for two!

Low Stock Champagne Château de Bligny Grande Réserve NV

Champagne Château de Bligny Grande Réserve NV

Item Code: 4296121

Description

A unique property, Château de Bligny has extraordinary historical, architectural and wine heritage. This Grande Réserve Champagne from the estate shows a beautiful balance of creamy richness, alongside ripe yellow fruit and blossom finesse.

Picture an historic French château surrounded by a belt of green vineyards. This scenic image is the Château de Bligny estate. Nestled in the heart of the Côte des Bar, Marquis de Dampierre built the property in 1773 on the foundations of a feudal castle. Nowadays it is owned by the Rapeneau family who have revamped the vineyards and renovated the château to its former glory.

All winemaking stages are done at the estate – from growing, to fermenting, to ageing. This makes it the only house in Champagne to benefit from the title of château. Crafted from equal portions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, bottle-fermented and lees-aged for toasty richness, it’s a perfect celebration fizz or a luxurious treat. Chill down well and enjoy!

Champagne Rapeneau (half bottle) NV

Item Code: 4295921

Description

A fine celebration Champagne. Great fruit finesse, brioche notes and gentle bubbles.

Ernest Rapeneau founded his Champagne house in 1901 in the village of Hautvillers. Over the next 50 years, he built an excellent reputation for his business, broadened his range and extended his distribution network. But first and foremost Ernest was a lover of Champagne, never losing his passion. For four generations, the aim has been to both preserve and improve the House’s traditional heritage.

These days Christophe is head of the business – a leading master in his discipline with more than 30 grape harvests under his belt. This Brut is a classic Champagne blend of complex, structured Pinot Noir, fruity Meunier and citrusy, elegant Chardonnay. It’s lively with fresh citrus and mineral aromas and hints of brioche. Great for celebration.

Field of Stones Marlborough Rosé 2021

Item Code: 4200821

Description

Elegant, fresh pink with delicate summer fruits, a great rosé from New Zealand, at just 9.5% ABV.

Twice 'Winemaker of the Year', Dr John Forrest is one of the greats of Marlborough, famous for pioneering screwcaps, lower alcohol wines and, of course, a range of superb reds, whites and rosés. He's a star with Sauvignon, but also likes to be the first to excel with unusual varieties like Arneis and Grüner Veltliner which compliment the Pinot Noir in this delicate pink. With extensive experience worldwide, daughter Beth is increasingly taking on more of the winemaking.

Field of Stones is a delicious pink, using Pinot Noir, Arneis, Grüner and Chenin, all sourced from a superb, stony Wairau Valley vineyard. This lends a flinty edge to the bright berry fruit and herbal notes of this fine rosé. Perfect with seafood, noodles and on its own.
