Lovers of fine Italian wines, La Dolce Vita is waiting for you with this delicious 3-region collection of luscious reds.
They come from top estates (and our very good friends) in Tuscany, Puglia and Sicily, and they are guaranteed to delight.
Saracosa Governo Rosso 2023, Toscana IGT, Italy A gorgeously rich red made by the talented Sofia Barbanera at her family’s beautiful Tuscan estate. Turbo-charged Amarone-style by dried Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, it's filled with black cherry intensity, mocha and spice. Luca Maroni has awarded it 98 points four years in a row and Oz Clarke calls it "hedonists' heaven". It’s a truly dazzling star you will love!
Pillastro Susumaniello 2022, Puglia IGP, Italy The great Angelo Maci (maker of our bestselling Pillastro Primitivo) from the multi-award-winning Cantine Due Palme winery is the legend behind this power-packed black red. This wine is lush, dark, smoky and decadent – the perfect pizza partner.
Tenuta Fenice Nero d’Avola 2023, Sicilia DOC, Italy “Nero d’Avola ... creates elegant, age-worthy wines” (Fiona Beckett) and this one from “exciting” (Tim Atkin, MW) Sicily is one you must try. It’s made by Dino Taschetta from a centuries-old vineyard that belonged to his grandfather, abandoned after an earthquake. He revived the ancient vines, and the result is this jewel of a red, packed with black fruits and spice.
This is a wonderful collection, and if you’re a fan of fine Italian wines, it’s one you really mustn’t miss!

Ultima Edizione started a few years back as a special project from the Farnese cellar. Based in an ancient castle in Abruzzo, the cellar has a terrific reputation and has been named Italy’s ‘Winery of the Year’ three times. We've been working with them for many years and for this wine we gave them free rein to produce the best red possible, regardless of region.
Talented winemaker today is Dennis Verdecchia, who cherry picked tiny parcels of premium soft, ripe Montepulciano and Sangiovese from Abruzzo, and dark Primitivo and spicy Negroamaro from sun-baked vineyards in Puglia in the south. Barrel ageing, then blending has produced this intensely flavoured, velvety red. Weighty, it’s best with roasted pork belly or a rich casserole.
As the name suggests, these wines are the ultimate creations of Farnese, a cellar that has won Top Italian Winery three times. For years they’ve delighted us with a rich, seductive red. This is the 98 point bright apricot and citrusy white.
