Of course, the most famous Chardonnays in the world are France’s fine Burgundies. This one comes from Maison Albert Bichot, the only producer to have won Winemaker of the Year for both red and white Burgundy.
Crafted from grapes from sunny Mâcon in southern Burgundy, it has rounded, ripe nectarine and white peach flavours on a long, luxurious palate. Lees ageing adds an extra layer of creamy complexity – it really is sublime.
