Burgundy has always been a region that our customers have adored, and our own label Fine White has long been our best seller from the region. That's thanks to the talented Vincent Prunier, who crafted this rounded, ripe apple and mineral-fresh 2022.
We’ve been going back to Burgundy for decades, constantly making delicious new discoveries and getting to know the best producers in the region. That’s led us to Vincent Prunier, “a little-known yet superb producer”, to quote the Los Angeles Times. Vincent quietly makes outstanding Chardonnay at his small domaine in Auxey-Duresses that shows off the finest qualities of the fruit; nothing too heavy or over-oaked. It’s exactly the sort of thing we love – and, more importantly, it’s a 5-star favourite with our customers. It’s a classic example of why Burgundy remains the Chardonnay to beat; ripe orchard fruit with crisp minerality, with just the right amount of creaminess. It’s versatile too, matching roast chicken as easily as creamy risotto.
