A dazzling, lime-fresh New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc – a wine that hit the stumps for Stuart Broad Inspired by his experiences while playing top-class cricket around the world and meeting great winemakers and estates, Stuart Broad has put his name to a small range of wines. These are aptly named ‘Beyond the Wicket’ and showcase the styles that have ignited Stuart’s passion for wine. This is from the Seifried estate in Nelson, next door to Marlborough on the South Island. Hermann and Agnes Seifried were one of the first to plant vines there in 1973. Today, their three children run the estate with an equal passion and commitment to producing great wine in Nelson, the sunshine capital of the country. Its bright, sunny fruit impressed our cricketing star. Guava, gooseberry and lime – great for sipping solo, or with seafood and spicy dishes.
