Founded in 1824, located between Margaux and Saint-Julien in the gravel-rich Lamarque commune, Malescasse has long been part of Bordeaux’s rich winemaking heritage. Legend suggests it narrowly missed the 1855 Classification because a broker drank all the samples before they could be judged! Today, it’s one of just 14 estates awarded the elite Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status. 

Comprising of 46% Merlot, 45% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot, matured in 30% new oak, the 2015 Malescasse is a lavishly rich and complex wine with harmonious layers of deep, rich, silky red and black fruits on a long, velvety finish. It’s won Gold at the Concours General Agricole and has plenty of high critic points too:
