Founded in 1824, Château Malescasse lies in Lamarque, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, on prized gravel-rich soils. Today recognised as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, it has long been part of the Médoc’s winemaking heritage. Legend even suggests it narrowly missed the 1855 Classification because the courtier entrusted with its samples drank every last drop!
