Founded in 1824, Malescasse has long been part of Bordeaux’s rich winemaking heritage. Legend suggests it narrowly missed the 1855 Classification—not due to a lack of quality, but because a courtier, unable to resist, tasted every last drop of the samples he was meant to present! Today, it’s one of just 14 estates awarded the elite Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status.
Crafted from 25-year-old Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, and aged 12 months in oak and wood tanks, it’s beautifully rounded and supple. Silky, harmonious, with smooth oak and a long finish. A superb Bordeaux – don’t miss it.
