L'Épiphanie de Pauillac 2020
6 X

As Oz Clarke says, Pauillac is "the most concentrated area of fine red wine in Bordeaux”. It boasts the finest, most fêted, most sought-after and downright expensive names in Bordeaux, including three First Growths: Château Lafite-Rothschild, Mouton-Rothschild and Latour.

Which estate does it come from? We can’t tell you! To protect their luxury brand, we are forbidden to reveal which estate made this fine red. This is the only reason you can secure a fine First Growth Pauillac like this for a fraction of the price of what it would normally command.

You see, even the most esteemed estates need a home for surplus or declassified wine. When they do, they come to us. They know we can keep a secret! We bottle it under our L’Épiphanie label with the promise not to reveal the estate’s name.

This is one of them. L’Épiphanie de Pauillac comes from the same vineyards – and the hand of the same winemaker – as the château’s $4000+ Grand Vin. It may not be the Grand Vin itself (even we couldn’t arrange that at this price!), but its credentials and its presence in the glass make today’s deal an unmissable one.

This is the stuff that Bordeaux lovers dream of. As Robert Parker says, the pleasures of pouring something from a famous château “have a grip and allure that are hard to resist”. Dark, rich, laced with blackcurrant, cedar, graphite and cigar box, it’s everything you’d expect from one of the greatest estates in the world. If you’re looking for a luxury wine that will impress, this is the one to have on hand!

Add-on a lavish Saint-Estèphe at 42% OFF!

Bordeaux’s revered St-Estèphe appellation is situated in the northernmost part of the Médoc. Like the Epiphanie de Pauillac, we can’t reveal which estate this Great Gold & 96 point wine comes from, but we can tell you that it is one of the two only Second Growths in St-Estèphe. (There are actually no First Growths, so this is pretty much the top of the tree!)

Also, two of its Grand Vins from the legendary 2009 & 2010 vintages were rated a perfect 100 points by the great Robert Parker. Yes this is serious stuff! Silky smooth, velvety, complex and long, this is a sublime example of the lavish St-Estèphes from this great estate. Add a bottle to your case for $288!
