A rich, opulent Pinot Gris from a top NZ winery – tropical fruit, lavish spice and floral notes Owned by the Neylon family, Rapaura Springs has an impressive track record of awards, including Trophy for the 2018 vintage of this particular white at the New World Wine Awards. They started out farming mussels and apples, but found vines much more rewarding. They now have vineyards throughout Marlborough’s best sites and also work with a handful of skilled and loyal growers to access the finest fruit. This fabulous Reserve is an opulent style of white, off-dry with luscious melon, pineapple and passion fruit notes and a hint of ginger spice. It uses the same grape as Italy’s Pinot Grigio, but the style is much richer, with part fermentation in older oak barrels adding a broader creamy texture. A delight solo or with creamy sauced dishes.
