Argentina's top red grape Malbec from the high Uco Valley and brimful of juicy spiced plum fruit Second release of this juicy red from Argentina, crafted with hearty red meat dishes in mind. This vintage it is made purely from the country's top red grape, Malbec. Supple, fresh with blackberry and plum fruit, a hint of violets and silky tannins. For the last 15 years, Argentina has wowed us with the wonders of Malbec. This grape originated from Bordeaux and southwest France but was adopted by Argentina. Now they’ve made it their own, softening its renowned tannins and bringing out all its supple black fruit and floral aromas. Con Carne is the creation of winemaker Diego Sinatra (no relation to the legend), who learnt his skill at some of the country's top cellars. He's partial to Argentina’s other claim to fame - premium steak – and made the wine with this in mind. The grapes are from renowned Tupungato in Mendoza's Uco Valley, an area with some of the highest, coolest and best-drained vineyards. No wonder this red has freshness and appealing fruit that’s perfect with meat dishes.
