Rare parcel of fine Bordeaux with nine years’ age from a family estate and a great vintage The world’s most famous fine wine region has experienced a golden age of vintages, quality is at an all-time high. Thanks to falling demand in France, it’s home to “some of the best priced wines on the planet” (The Telegraph) too. This is fabulous mature claret from top winemaker Francis Courselle, who first blazed a trail in the Entre-Deux-Mers in the 1980s, making this forgotten region famous again. He was named Winemaker of the Year and nicknamed the ‘father of petits châteaux’. This is his superb Reserve Cuvée from 2016 – “the best Bordeaux vintage I will probably ever taste” said Jancis Robinson. All Cabernet Sauvignon, it has matured handsomely offering lovely mellow fruit with a touch of savoury spice. Ideal with Sunday roast.
