A big Super Tuscan in a mini size. One of our bestselling Italian red wines
Crafted by Sofia Barbanera at her family’s Tuscan estate, Saracosa blends Sangiovese and Merlot – a classic Super Tuscan recipe. It’s smooth and mouthfilling with dark berries, spice and vanilla notes. A top choice with pasta or grilled lamb.
Saracosa is one of our bestselling Italian red wines. Crafted by award-winning winemaker Sofia Barbanera, Saracosa is a tribute to the iconic Super Tuscan style – a blend of native Italian grapes with international varieties, first championed by Piero Antinori in the 1970s. It’s made at the Barbanera family estate, overlooked by the Saracosa hill near Montalcino. Half of the vineyards lie within the prestigious Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, with the rest just outside the official boundary. Low-yielding vines deliver intensely concentrated grapes, as you’ll taste in this expressive red. Saracosa is a smooth, full-bodied blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. Expect layers of luscious dark berries, warm spice and a hint of toasty vanilla.
