Saint-Émilion is home to some of the finest (and most expensive) Bordeaux. So we are thrilled to bring you this extraordinary buy: an acclaimed Saint-Émilion from the same cellar and vineyards as one of the region’s most famous wines.
There’s just one thing. We can’t tell you the name of the estate.
Why the secrecy? Our Haut-Brion-trained winemaker, Jean-Marc Sauboua, uses his elite connections to secure tiny, declassified batches from France’s top châteaux. To protect their revered reputations from such low prices, these estates demand total anonymity. We bottle these magnificent wines under our secret L’Epiphanie label, passing the world-class luxury on to you at a fraction of the cost.
In fact, if you bought a bottle of their premier Grand Vin, you wouldn’t get much change from $5,000 per bottle.
To be clear, this is not the Grand Vin. But it’s made with the same grapes, from the same vineyards, and with the same “no expense spared” attention to detail. Impressive? Most definitely! Exciting? Absolutely. As Robert Parker says, the pleasures of pouring something from a famous château “have a grip and allure that are hard to resist”. One taste and you’ll agree. Aromatic and evocative, it has lush violets and dark, plummy fruit on the nose, followed by velvety fruit and cedar oak on the long, silky finish. It’s beautiful.
