A silky and ethereal Burgundy from a top Gevrey-Chambertin estate, using parcels from Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis. On the nose, aromatic black cherry, raspberry and redcurrant melds with savoury, intricate forest floor notes. The wine spent 18 months in French oak, which has given it a lovely softness. The palate is bright and elegant, with balanced acidity, a wonderful complexity and a long, lithe finish. It’s a brilliant match to duck.
