Add-on a lavishly intense ‘Amarone-style’ Southern Italian red at 58% OFF
As Hugh Johnson says, southern Italy’s Puglia is a land of “undreamed of character and potential” and this opulent red from the talented winemaker Simone Cortese shows all that character and potential in spades.
First, he took Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes, two of the region’s blackest varieties oozing dense, ripe fruit character. Then, he air-dried them, Amarone-style, to concentrate their flavours even more. Look forward to a sumptuously rich, dark, soulful black red that is decadently intense.
