Fine medium-dry Riesling bursting with bright citrus fruit, from the outstanding Dr Loosen The Dr. Loosen estate has been in the same family for over 200 years and has vines in some of Germany’s best-rated vineyards. Located in far western Germany, the Mosel valley’s steep, south-facing slopes create the perfect conditions for Riesling. Plenty of sun combined with the cool climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining bright acidity. This medium-dry Riesling is produced with fruit from estate-owned vineyards. Following the traditional methods of Ernst Loosen’s great grandfather, this wine is fermented in 3,000-litre, neutral oak casks and kept on its lees for 12 months. The result is a beautiful fruit-filled Riesling with plenty of citrusy zip and floral notes. Ideal with grilled fish or as a glass on its own.
