Charming silky, berry-filled Rioja from a family bodega. Youthful and fruity with no oak Enjoy this youthful, berry-filled Rioja from a family winery in the village of Bergasa. It’s joven – all fruit and no oak– a style most often enjoyed locally. A charming red, with juicy strawberry flavour and an easy silky texture. Altos de Bergasa is from Bodegas La Eralta, a family-owned winery founded in 1990, quite young in terms of Rioja. It proudly owns 360 hectares of vineyard throughout the three subregions, with this bright, fruity joven red named after its first plots, planted in the village of Bergasa. At their modern cellars, they boast 10,000 French and American oak barrels, within which they age their wines – from Crianza to Gran Reserva. The joven is all fruit and no oak, meant for enjoying in its full flight of youth. A silky, bright red with tasty freshness – excellent on its own or with a range of tapas. Enjoy too with grilled meats, a mushroom goulash or roasted vegetables with couscous and feta. Serve on the cooler side of room temperature.
