Robert Ledoux Bourgogne Aligoté 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté AOC, France
Yes, this is a Burgundy, but it’s not Chardonnay! It’s an Aligoté – a mouthwatering white you must try. Less than 6% of Burgundy's vineyards are planted to Aligoté, and it’s so popular with the Burgundians that not much of it leaves France. However, we’ve managed to secure a tiny parcel from our good friend Laurent Guillot, whose family have been based in Burgundy for generations. From the deliciously ripe 2022 vintage, winner of Gold & 90pts, this is deliciously floral and fresh, with creamy peach balanced by intense mineral freshness. It’s a brilliant partner to fresh oysters – or any seafood that’s fresh out of the sea.

Unsi Terrazas Blanco 2021 Navarra DO, Spain
This exciting white comes from ancient terraces in the mountain foothills of Navarra, Spain. It's from the winery awarded ‘Spain’s Best Cooperative’ at the Berliner Wine Trophy seven years in a row! Made from 100% Garnacha Blanca, it was aged for six months in French oak barrels.  You'll taste the creamy spice from the lees contact, the mineral-fresh citrus and white fruit, as well as the wild herbs that surround the vineyard. Across the border is the French city of Lyon ‘the capital of gastronomy’, where the wine judges of Concours International de Lyon gave it a well-deserved Gold! Cook up a rich paella or garlic-roasted chicken. It'll work a treat.
