Collezione di Paolo Riserva 2021 Chianti DOCG, Italy
Another sumptuous Tuscan treasure, this one from our good friend Paolo Masi (we’ve been working with him for over 30 years!) using fruit from his beautiful estate in Rufina – arguably Chianti’s finest sub-region. “Spiced cherries and red plums with hints of cedar and nutshells …polished and even … a fresh, red-fruited character…91pts” (James Suckling).
Muraccio Organic 2022 Parrina DOC, Italy
This silky Sangiovese-rich Tuscan star is made by the talented Valeria Vittori using fruit from the only estate in Tuscany’s tiny Parrina appellation – yes, this is very rare! It’s also absolutely delicious: “Aromas of dark berries, chocolate wafers and sweet spices on the nose. Full body with firm tannins…90pts” (James Suckling).
