He knows every grape grower worth knowing, every premium vineyard, and has spent his life making outstanding wines. We first met him when he was head winemaker at a large winery. Every vintage, he'd impress us, but he was also keen to go out on his own. We were delighted and promised we'd be his first customer. We're still championing his great wines today. His fizz is beautifully fresh and, served chilled, makes a tasty aperitivo.

What’s not to adore about Prosecco? All those sophisticated bubbles, yet brighter, more fruity and affordable than Champagne. Il Papavero Prosecco is the latest addition to our ‘poppy’ range of wines, and already boasts an army of thirsty fans – it’s just so irresistible. But that should come as no surprise when you consider the heritage of winemaker Scipione Giuliani. This maestro was born in the very heart of the Prosecco region. A true local, he knows all the best winegrowers and went straight to the region's very finest vineyards (usually owned by long-standing friends) to source the fruit for this tasty fizz. Just one sip will transport you to a smart Venetian piazza. Great value, delicious taste – chill your bottle down and enjoy.

Ultima Edizione started a few years back as a special project from the Farnese cellar. Based in an ancient castle in Abruzzo, the cellar has a terrific reputation and has been named Italy’s ‘Winery of the Year’ three times. We've been working with them for many years and for this wine we gave them free rein to produce the best red possible, regardless of region.

Talented winemaker today is Dennis Verdecchia, who cherry picked tiny parcels of premium soft, ripe Montepulciano and Sangiovese from Abruzzo, and dark Primitivo and spicy Negroamaro from sun-baked vineyards in Puglia in the south. Barrel ageing, then blending has produced this intensely flavoured, velvety red. Weighty, it’s best with roasted pork belly or a rich casserole.

His rosato is a gorgeously berry fruited version of the fizz he created for our 50th Anniversary. Expect aromatic citrus notes and delectable red berry notes.

We’ve worked with the genial Alessandro Gallici for over 20 years. Every vintage he produces a superb range of both still and sparkling wines that our customers and staff adore. With this fizz, he's gone a step further – producing this gorgeous rosato edition. It uses only specially selected, fine organic grapes, taken from around the village of Roncade and is given its fizz by the special charmat method. Alessandro’s standard Prosecco is hugely popular to enjoy any time. And we know this fine vintage rosato version will be a big hit too! It has appealing ripe peach fruit, bright, fresh red berry flavour and a fine stream of bubbles. Chill down, then find a reason to open a bottle (or two)! It makes a particularly delicious aperitif.
