Dog Point is one of the top wineries of New Zealand's Marlborough, founded by Cloudy Bay’s former viticulturalist and winemaker. Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas says this 96-point Pinot "ticks a lot of boxes on concentration and finesse." A delight.
Jeff Carrel’s La Tire isn't shy of an award or two. Each vintage this classy Carignan-Syrah attracts high praise from critics. Jeff sources grapes from high-up slopes, difficult to access. All the richer for that, with peppery black fruit and spice.
Presenting w/o - winemaker Dino Taschetta's ambitious new project. A wine made without (w/o) compromise. A delicious berry and cherry-filled Sicilian red, mindfully made. Packaged in 100% recycled glass, it’s aromatic and brimming with bright fruits.
We first met Dino when he began restoring his grandfather's earthquake-struck vineyard, high in the Sicilian hills. You loved the wine it made - Tenuta Fenice. Not one to rest on his laurels, he's started another ambitious new project called w/o - wine made without compromise. He chose native Frappato as his champion, all grown organically thanks to Sicily's warm, dry climate and Dino's diligence. It's bottled in 100% recycled glass too, known as 'wild' glass, a UK first. You may notice a little variation in colour, perhaps a few tiny bubbles. All part of the charm, as is the delicious red berry and cherry fruit that greets you on the aroma and continues through on the bright, juicy palate. Try chilled solo, or with pizza or pesto pasta.

Named after the sparrowhawk – a bird of strength and elegance – that often graces the skies, Casale della Sparviero is a beautiful Tuscan estate. It has an 800-year-old history, with its oldest vineyard dedicated to grapes since 1169. Its current owners bought the farm in the Chianti heartland in the 1970s. A businessman from the Veneto, Olindo Andrighetti could sense the huge potential of what he'd taken on and set about restoring its vineyards, olive groves, woodland and buildings. In 1994, his daughter Ada took the helm and is helped today by her son, Arrigo. Two of Italy's finest consultants, Franco and Matteo Bernabei, lead the winemaking, ageing this Riserva 18 months in French oak barriques, the rest in bottle. Open early and decant.
