It's made exclusively from free-run juice, giving it a pureness of flavour. Then it's fermented with specially selected yeast that brings out a grape's aroma. This accentuates the primary flavours of white blossom and lively peach, but also adds a hint of roundness to the wine. This fresh yet creamy white deserves a place in your fridge. Aquarius is one of the great wines made by the McPherson clan. You may know the name – they are the incredible team behind our bestselling The Full Fifteen. There’s no end to the talents of Chief Winemaker Jo Nash who has a long list of accolades to her name and crafts this excellent rosé too. It’s dominated by Shiraz, with supporting roles from Sangiovese and Petit Verdot – all carefully selected from Central Victoria.

The juice is quickly run off the grape skins to obtain a good kick of pink, then cool fermented for the perfect balance of freshness and fruit-filled flavour. Bright, zestful and dry with aromas of raspberries, strawberries and a touch of white pepper spice. Chill down well, sip solo, or pair with a quiche or Thai curry.

In 2023, RedHeads’ dynamo team, deep in the Barossa, won Best Red Wine Trophy at the Barossa Show for this fabulous Touriga. It’s a first-release red from their own vineyard, outside the winery door. Darkly fruity with a delicious, sappy freshness.

The RedHeads team specialise in small-batch, one-off wines from various South Australia regions, using top-quality grapes from their best grower-mates. There may only be a few rows worth but, bottled solo, the grapes make a terrific wine that stands out in a crowd. But you have to be quick – the bottles disappear quickly. For this Trophy-winning red, RedHeads’ head honcho and winemaker, Alex Trescowthick didn’t have to look far! The grapes are all from the small vineyard outside the winery door, only planted in 2019. Touriga only makes up .2 hectares and part of it goes into their Icon wines. However, in 2023, the quality was so exceptional, they bottled a small amount solo. And were rewarded for their pains with a Trophy and two Golds.
