Alessandro Gallici aspired to create a fine Italian white like the ones found in the prestigious Friuli region. His, however, would be a steal. His masterpiece is an elegantly fresh “aromatic mosaic” (Telegraph) with the essence of peach and pear.
This well priced southern Rhône red is packed with herby black fruit and spice character. If it hailed from any of its neighbouring regions, it would cost a pretty penny. But from the often overlooked Vaucluse, it delivers great flavour and value.
