Lavishly intense Médoc from the outstanding 2009 vintage from a small estate in Lesparre-Médoc, next to the renowned Château Potensac. Winegrowers since 2000, Vignobles Monroux acquired Château Grand Marceaux in 2004. The estate comprises nine hectares of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, tended following la lutte raisonnée, with minimal intervention and respect for the natural environment.
2009 was an exceptional vintage in the Médoc and this generous wine displays ripe red fruit aromas and flavours with touches of tobacco, leather and spice on the long, complex finish. Decant well in advance of drinking and enjoy with grilled meats, such as entrecôte Bordeaux and other full flavoured dishes.
