Lavishly intense Médoc from the outstanding 2009 vintage from a small estate in Lesparre-Médoc, next to the renowned Château Potensac. Winegrowers since 2000, Vignobles Monroux acquired Château Grand Marceaux in 2004. The estate comprises nine hectares of Merlot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, tended following la lutte raisonnée, with minimal intervention and respect for the natural environment.
We've had to wait five years for the release of this superb, nine-Golds Cru Bourgeois claret. It's from Georges Pauli and team at Château Ramage La Batisse and a vintage described as "unquestionably great" by Decanter. Superb drinking now or cellar.
Bordeaux’s left bank appellation of Médoc is home to bold, classic claret that’s made to last. Even better, Château Pierre de Montignac is Cru Bourgeois – a classification that is awarded each year to wines of exceptional quality and depth. It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that’s aged for 12 months in oak. It’s from Bordeaux’s 2012 vintage, an under rated vintage whose best wines – like this – are now drinking perfectly.
Dartington Crystal was founded in 1967and quickly became the most recognized manufacturer of simple yet functional glassware in UK. This pair is specially designed by our founder, Tony Laithwaite, for tasting clarets from Bordeaux. Its design helps to enhance the aromas of the wines, so you can enjoy your favorite Bordeaux in full flavours, and of course, in style!
