The critics LOVE RedHeads!
“Blockbuster ... stratospheric pleasure quotient ... this operation is serious” (Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate) … “Avant-garde and highly successful” (James Halliday) … “Australian genius … made with passion” (Jancis Robinson MW).
Australia’s cult classic RedHeads wines “must be tasted to be believed” (Robert Parker) so don’t miss your limited-time opportunity to taste them here!
Wilson Gunn Bellum Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2021 is a special project top shelf red originally created by Henry Laithwaite, now in the good hands of chief winemaker Alex Trescowthick. It’s made with two A-grade parcels of fruit from Barossa and Coonawarra, and the quality is unmistakable.
This is a pure Montepulciano, from a single vineyard in the Barossa, dazzling with lots of lovely bright fruit and spice. It’s stunning!
Coonawarra is "the finest red wine region" (Times) in Oz and Jack Burston grows some of its best grapes. He used to sell them to a big, premium brand, but was delighted when RedHeads wanted to bottle them solo. A dark cherry, spice-filled beauty.
RedHeads don't tow the line, they're Aussie rebels leading the field! From the get-go, they've made small-volume, handcrafted wines from 'rescued' grapes. This is a cracker – Barossa, Clare, McLaren and Langhorne Creek. A palate-punching Shiraz.
A terrific, Gold-medal-winning take on France’s classic Syrah Viognier recipe. RedHeads uses premium old-vine fruit and traditional methods, finishing the wine with 14 months in barrel. Hence the gorgeous silky black fruit and lavish oak complexity.
