Sinfully delicious Rex Mundi is adored by hundreds of fans of southern French reds – it’s one of our bestselling favourite black reds. Today we are delighted to present to you the lavishly rich, Gold-medal-winning luxury edition. With Rolls Royce treatment from vine to bottle, Rex Mundi Cuvée Cathare 2019 is a sumptuously dark and mouthfilling indulgence – you definitely don’t want to miss!
Libérez la Bête! (That’s ‘Free the Beast!’ for non-French speakers!) Deep, dark, and dangerously easily to drink, Rex Mundi comes from Parker rated winemaker Hervé Sabardeil, whose lavish elixirs have been wowing lovers of black reds for over a decade.
Old vines, low yields, HUGE flavour: Hervé uses Syrah, Carignan and Grenache from the very oldest vines – some over 100 years in age – grown on the finest slate soils of Maury in the Languedoc Roussillon region. As you might imagine, yields are minute, which accounts for the depth of colour and intensity of flavour. No wonder it’s won Gold!
Loved by customers: “What a belter!” “This wine is awesome!!!!” “Lovely, rich, intense and velvet wine. We love it!” (Online Reviews).
Tastes incredible: This is a powerful, rich and deep black red, beautifully balanced and terrifically long. The palate has a magic melt-in-the-mouth, velvety richness and six months’ oak-ageing adds layers of sumptuous, creamy spice. It’s terrifyingly good!
Needs food: A T-Bone steak with mushrooms, garlicky lamb cutlets or a richly flavoured French-style casserole would be perfect.
