Home to many of the country's best-known premium regions – Coonawarra, the Barossa, McLaren Vale and more – it has an ideal climate for making bold, ripe, characterful reds, like this one.

This hush hush Cleanskin deal came about thanks to the unnamed cellar slipping our man Dan a word, telling him about a spare parcel of wine that had no home and needed one quick! Delighted to help, Dan snapped it up before anyone else could. Pure Cabernet, it's dark and bold, well-structured and long. For now, it's well worth opening early and decanting. Enjoy with steak or hearty dishes.
