Description

We’ve had a run of great vintages, but the Gold-medal-winning 2021 released this year is a true classic. Even though it’s really young, the wine is luscious and silky with intense, fresh fruit, and already surprisingly approachable.

Not only that, each spring, we taste the current La Clarière vintage ‘blind’ against some of the most famous Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés and it regularly scores higher than most of them. Very rewarding! As its winemaker Jean-Marc commented: “Deep crimson-purple; very pure fruit aromas, with crunchy black cherry, redcurrant and wild blueberries, a hint of walnut and cinnamon. It has a lifted, plump, juicy and sapid finish – very long too – that’ll mature into a terrific beauty, charming you along the way.”
