Dubbed as the “Princess of Champagne” by the press, Virginie Tattinger worked alongside her father in the world-famous Tattinger Champagne empire for 21 years. But she left in 2006, now makes excellent Champagne in her own right.
The Times wrote: “Sparkling Crémant de Bourgogne is impeccable value for money”. The fine mousse, creamy fruit and elegant zing of this fizz made by the same method and using the same grapes as in the Champagne region.

“I love the creaminess and fresh baguette richness on the mid-palate, the acidity easily balancing this. Long complete finish with good mineral tension. 94pts.” (James Suckling).

The Champagne region grows three grapes, two red – Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – and one white – Chardonnay. Blanc de Blancs is made only from Chardonnay and, as Hugh Johnson says, it therefore has “great grace and less weight than traditional Champagne”. Laithwaite’s is a tip-top example which has been expertly created for us by a superb cellar in Vertus, one of Champagne’s finest villages. This particular cuvée is 100% Premier Cru vineyard fruit and was matured for 30 months before release – double the required minimum – to ensure a luxurious, toasty biscuit character. It’s ideal for special occasions, on its own or with smoked salmon canapés.

The Rapeneau family has been producing Champagne for over a century and oversee the production of the Louis Dumont label.
Now 4th generation, they are committed to high quality through understanding the nuances of the various subregions.
With five main grape growing areas in Champagne, careful selection of the grapes is a major influence on the style of the fizz.
Louis Dumont is a delicious, fruit-forward bubbly, ready to be enjoyed. It’s crafted from grapes from Vallée de la Marne – known for its fruity Pinot Meunier and peachy Chardonnay – and Côtes des Bars, with its reputation for full-flavoured, ripe Pinot Noir.
It’s a Pinot-dominated blend, brimming with red fruit flavour, refreshing citrus, and classic brioche notes. Chill and enjoy.
Veuve Clicquot’s distinctive yellow label has been a guarantee of quality for centuries, and once again this highly respected house has confirmed its stellar reputation with this rich and complex bubbly – it’s our bestselling Champagne!
