Ernest Rapeneau founded his Champagne house in 1901 in the village of Hautvillers. Over the next 50 years, he built an excellent reputation for his business, broadened his range and extended his distribution network. But first and foremost Ernest was a lover of Champagne, never losing his passion. For four generations, the aim has been to both preserve and improve the House’s traditional heritage.
These days Christophe is head of the business – a leading master in his discipline with more than 30 grape harvests under his belt. This Brut is a classic Champagne blend of complex, structured Pinot Noir, fruity Meunier and citrusy, elegant Chardonnay. It’s lively with fresh citrus and mineral aromas and hints of brioche. Great for celebration.
The Rapeneau family has been producing Champagne for over a century and oversee the production of the Louis Dumont label.
Now 4th generation, they are committed to high quality through understanding the nuances of the various subregions.
With five main grape growing areas in Champagne, careful selection of the grapes is a major influence on the style of the fizz.
Louis Dumont is a delicious, fruit-forward bubbly, ready to be enjoyed. It’s crafted from grapes from Vallée de la Marne – known for its fruity Pinot Meunier and peachy Chardonnay – and Côtes des Bars, with its reputation for full-flavoured, ripe Pinot Noir.
It’s a Pinot-dominated blend, brimming with red fruit flavour, refreshing citrus, and classic brioche notes. Chill and enjoy.
Marie and Sylvie are two nature-obsessed sister winemakers. They aren't afraid of shaking up Bordeaux! Their aim was to make a richly layered, complex white. So, instead of taking grapes from just one vintage, they've blended them from three.
A Gold medal for this crisp, elegant white blending, unusually for the Languedoc, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. It's from the vineyards of Spanish-born Jesús Aledo, now at home in southern France. Delicate herbal, ripe stone fruit, citrusy.

Our Languedoc buyer, Mark Hoddy, was in Corbières's Fabrezan cellar, tasting through the vintage. One white stood way out, so good, he insisted on visiting the grower. The upshot is this glorious, rich oaked white with ripe peach freshness.
Less than 6% of Burgundy's vineyards are planted to Aligoté. Maybe one day, it'll outshine Chardonnay! L'Etrangère is an exceptional wine from a small family estate, using grapes from just outside Meursault. Creamy with intense lemony zip.
