Customers have enjoyed Paolo Masi's exceptional, great-value Chiantis, bestsellers too. This is the launch of his exciting new red, richer and weightier than the norm. Using part dried grapes, this Sangiovese-Syrah is a 93-point sensation.

Montepulciano is the top red grape of Italy's Abruzzo, in La Chiamata showing off all its deliciously silky, ripe red fruit and juicy plum charm. It's an easy going, any time sort of wine. This vintage received 90 points.

The wine treasures of Lombardy's Oltrepo Pavese rarely escape Italian. Every reason to seize your chance with this mature, oak-matured masterpiece from a 13th century castle! Oak and cherry-scented, it is silky, yet firm and bewitchingly long.
Oltrepo Pavese lies in southwest Lombardy, next to Piedmont, hence its former name, Old Piedmont. Castello di Cigognola is an impressive, 13th-century castle, lying high on a hill, overlooking the Scuropasso Valley, across to Emilia Romagna. No wonder, then, it was once a stronghold for feudal lords. Over the centuries, it has been a gathering place for politicians and philosophers and today it remains a tranquil spot. It is home to many artistic pursuits, including great wine. Gabriele Moratti is in charge today. Sustainably tended, the vineyards are in the process of organic conversion. Using all Barbera from their 30-year-old La Maga vineyard, the wine had a year's ageing in small barrels. A very fine red. Open early and decant, or age.

“Aromas and flavors of currants, pepper and fresh herbs follow through to a medium body with integrated tannins and a delicious finish … 92pts” (James Suckling).
La Parrina is a tiny DOC, situated in the Orbetello peninsula on Italy’s Tuscan coast. It's part of the renowned Maremma zone and only one estate exists there – Antica Fattoria La Parrina. The wines are made by Valeria Vittori, a Montalcino winemaker renowned for her critically acclaimed HK$450 Brunello – so you know you are in good hands here.
Muraccio is Valeria’s special blend of Tuscany’s hero grape, Sangiovese, plus Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, all from vineyards close to the winery. Aged for 10 months in oak barriques before bottling, it has juicy red and black cherry flavours mingled with plummy fruit and notes of Mediterranean herbs. It’s a fullbodied wine with layers of deep flavour – yet wonderfully easy to drink. We love it. And we think you’ll love it too. We’re not the only ones who are impressed. The renowned international critic, Antonio Galloni, awarded Muraccio 92 points and called it “a real charmer”. James Suckling was equally impressed, awarding it 92 points as well.
From a hot vintage which has surprised all with its intense, vivacious wines, this is a well-priced Barolo. Now four years old, has silky tannins supporting the cherry, plum, flower and spice notes.
As its name suggests, this is Farnese maestro Filippo Baccalaro’s ultimate creation. He skilfully blends top cuvées of ripe Montepulciano, cherry fresh Sangiovese, dark Primitivo and spicy Negroamaro for incredible, mouthfilling flavour.

Pillastro Primitivo is one of our best-loved wines. The three-time Winery of the Year has blended Cabernet with Primitivo, from 80-year-old vines, to make this dark swarthy red. It's barrel aged as well to add oak spice to the rich fruit.
The talent behind this wine is the now legendary Angelo Maci of the multi-award-winning Cantine Due Palme winery. His wines are always splendid, but he has truly excelled himself with this rare, gorgeously deep and richly fruity Susumaniello.
