Over 170 years of experience have gone into the making of this ripe orange-scented toasted brioche Champagne.
It's the work of 5th generation winemaker Julian Fourrier, whose father, Philippe, created this special cuvée in honour of his wife, Brigitte. Her maiden name was Delmotte.
The grapes are a classic blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay taken from vineyards first planted by Philippe and Brigitte.
All the family's 18 hectares of vines lie within Champagne's little known Côte des Bar, described by Wine Folly as "the hottest Champagne region right now".
Made traditionally, this fine fizz was aged four years on its lees to enhance its rich toasty flavour.
This handy half bottle is perfect to share between two - a small celebration!

Fluette is just that - a lovely fluid glass of lush, easy berry fruit that slips down wonderfully easily. At 12% it's no heavyweight. More like pure charm using Beaujolais's treasured Gamay grape. This one, however, is from SW France.

Our Languedoc buyer, Mark Hoddy, was in Corbières's Fabrezan cellar, tasting through the vintage. One white stood way out, so good, he insisted on visiting the grower. The upshot is this glorious, rich oaked white with ripe peach freshness.
Three Golds for this superb artisan Champagne that held its own in competition against big names Bollinger, Veuve and the like. Pure Pinot Noir, vinified white and aged 3 years on lees, it is rich and creamy with toasty ripe fruit.

Just when you thought all the best pinks came from Provence. Try this terrific rosé from Beaujolais. From the 18th-century Château des Loges cellar, it's brimful of pretty cherry fruit and citrusy zip.
“I love the creaminess and fresh baguette richness on the mid-palate, the acidity easily balancing this. Long complete finish with good mineral tension. 94pts.” (James Suckling).
