Moscato is of course the same as France’s Muscat, one of the most aromatic varieties in the world, only challenged to that title by Gewurztraminer! As the name suggests, these wines are the ultimate creations of Farnese, a cellar that has won Top Italian Winery three times. For years they’ve delighted us with a rich, seductive red. This is the 98 point bright apricot and citrusy white.
This plush and powerful example comes from Dino Taschetta, who uses old vine fruit from his grandfather's vineyard, high up in Poggioreale. It was abandoned after an earthquake, but when Dino discovered the quality of the ancient vines, he returned to create this silky and sensuous black red.
Now you can enjoy that first-sip-thrill with Sofia Barbanera’s Gold-medal, zesty white. Unusually it's made from Sangiovese. Picked early, this red grape makes a crisp white with notes of sour cherry.

Instead of being a deep, velvety red (like weighty Amarone), Il Sognatore is a delicious, deep pink, ripe fruit rosato. A gentle pressing of the grapes ensures the colour, while cool fermentation brings out the gorgeous pomegranate and red berry aromas and flavours of fresh plum and cherry. Chill it down and love it with fish, prawns, a crisp salad or solo.
