Peregrinas is a clear indication of how good Chilean Chardonnay can be. It's from award-winning Jon Usabiago at the family-owned Aresti cellar in Curicó. Using grapes all from the La Reserva subregion, it's peachy fresh with just a touch of oak.
Coonawarra may be best known for its deep, minty Cabernets, but Redheads loves to buck the trend. They were out to prove it was spot on for elegant Chardie too. From grower Jack Bursten, Harmonie Rox is bright, lemon fresh and creamy edged.
Finally winemaker Sam Trimboli has taken the plunge and gone out on his own. It seems to be working wonders, judging by the fruity moreishness of this ripe, tasty white. Chardonnay with a splash of Pinot Grigio, it's gorgeously bright and creamy.
