You see, we kept meeting young gun winemakers who had access to tiny parcels of prime fruit which they wanted to craft into small-batch, character-laden wines – and we wanted to encourage them! With no rules to adhere to, these talented winemakers produced astounding wines that dazzled the critics: "Avant-garde and highly successful" (James Halliday), "Australian genius … made with passion" (Jancis Robinson MW), "Must be tasted to be believed" (Robert Parker). RedHeads nowadays has much bigger premises in the South Australia's world-famous Barossa, but it is uniquely designed to produce small batch fermentations, just like they did in the old days. The 1888 is their flagship Barossa Shiraz and it's a beauty, deep, dark and decadently intense – the kind that made the Barossa famous. Make sure you go and visit them in the Barossa. They'd love to show you around.
Australia's McLaren Vale is a top spot for Shiraz. This great family winery has won the Jimmy Watson Trophy, one for Best Shiraz and many more, plus a hat trick of Golds for the juicy, bright-fruit 2018.
An impressive wine with a huge cult following. This reserve edition takes its bold flavour to the next level. Pure Shiraz, selected from the premium Clare Valley and McLaren Vale, it's packed with dense fruit and spice.
The Red Sedan is a luscious, 95-point Cabernet Shiraz from top South Australian vineyards. Like the iconic 1966 Ford Falcon Sedan featured on the label, this classic is a blast from the past – generous, smoky, black fruit and spiced oak.

A Gold-medal winner, the Rocksand Shiraz has the added kudos of being named among The Independent's '12 Best Portuguese Wines', and 'best for a meat feast'! As Wine Spectator says, Portugal is "one of the most dynamic wine-producing nations in the world today". Taste and you'll agree.
