Aquarius is one of the great wines made by the McPherson clan. You may know the name – they are the incredible team behind our bestselling The Full Fifteen. There’s no end to the talents of Chief Winemaker Jo Nash who has a long list of accolades to her name and crafts this excellent rosé too. It’s dominated by Shiraz, with supporting roles from Sangiovese and Petit Verdot – all carefully selected from Central Victoria.

The juice is quickly run off the grape skins to obtain a good kick of pink, then cool fermented for the perfect balance of freshness and fruit-filled flavour. Bright, zestful and dry with aromas of raspberries, strawberries and a touch of white pepper spice. Chill down well, sip solo, or pair with a quiche or Thai curry.

This is a delightful, fruity rosé made especially for us by Rodolfo (nicknamed Opi) Sadler, chief winemaker at Andean Vineyards. Not only is Opi rated among the Top Ten winemakers in the country, but he also scooped ‘Best Malbec of Argentina’ in 2008 – no small feat as this is the country’s flagship red grape. His regular Malbec has long been a customer favourite, so we asked him to make a deliciously refreshing pink version.

He selected grapes from vineyards high up in Mendoza. They have piercing freshness, and abundant fruit and aroma – perfect for vibrant pinks. Irresistible as a glass solo, Opi Malbec Rosé is surprisingly versatile with food. Try with pea and pancetta risotto, chicken, poached salmon or lightly spiced Asian dishes.

This is a deliciously fresh rosado from Rioja. It has all the ripe berry fruit you'd expect of Tempranillo, plus a zip of incisive citrusy freshness. It’s from the Chavarri family, whose cellar has been up and running since 1882. Ruth Chavarri Muro is today in charge, the fifth generation of her family to take the helm, with winemaker Miguel Lopez Nunez head of the cellar.

They can boast some of the highest vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, at 400 to 600 metres, all on excellent, limestone rich soils. Both these factors help to produce lovely intense flavours and delicious freshness in this pink. Just the colour invites you to pour a glass! Irresistible on its own and very food friendly. Chicken, seafood, salads and lighter vegetarian options.

When Señor Andrés Ruberte began making wine from the gnarled old vines of his small estate, the rest of the region was, for the most part, supplying wine in bulk. Theirs was used to add body, depth and colour to lighter reds of France and Spain. However, Andrés had an unshakeable belief in the potential of his wines and decided to set out on his own. This pioneering spirit paid off.

Today Campo de Borja is considered one of Spain's most highly prized regions. And the winery that started with Andrés continues to thrive. Indeed husband and wife team, Miguel and Susana, are local heroes. Regularly picking up awards for their old vine Garnachas. Perla Rosado is their quintessential summer rosé. The name, Pink Darner, refers to the delicate dragonfly you can see skimming over the vineyards in sunny California, and on the label! Easy-going Pink Darner is made from fruit sourced in the Central Valley’s Lodi. This region has long been considered the spot where the quality to value ratio is at its best.

Home to some of California’s oldest Zinfandel plantings, you can be sure Pink Darner is going to be a fruity, oh-so-refreshing wine. The kind of off-dry rosé you can enjoy as a treat at any time of the year. Pour yourself a glass and revel in the strawberry, watermelon dream that’ll whisk you straight to the Sunshine State.

Since the launch of the first Yarrunga Field, Sam Trimboli has been delighting customers with his fabulous wines and winning awards. They don't call him 'Mr Medals' for nothing! Only in the last four years has he set up his own family winery and, in our opinion, is producing even better wines. He has made us the dark, spicy Black Duck from Durif, and the White Chardie Pinot Grigio Duck, but this is just his second foray into the Pink Duck.

Sam is from Italian heritage – his grandfather grew vines in Italy 90 years ago and his parents emigrated to Oz in 1967 – so perhaps it's of no surprise that he has used nearly all Montepulciano here. A splash of Vermentino adds extra lemony zip. A pretty hue, lovely ripe fruit and zesty freshness.
