Coup-de-Coeur means 'blow to the heart' – having a crush on something, or instantly falling in love with it. And that's what will happen to you with this lavish, luscious, inky, velvety beauty. It's impossible to resist. Like the original Cabalié, the grapes are Grenache and Carignan from the finest slate soils of the Roussillon but using small portions of old vine fruit. Yields are minute, which accounts for the incredible intensity of flavour. The wine was aged in oak casks for six months to lend a luxurious layer of creamy oak complexity. It's truly spectacular, and today it is available to you at half price.

So when a well-known estate called our buyer and asked if he wanted a declassified parcel of 5-star 2020 Chianti Classico from a top-tier winery in the prestige Conca d'Oro region, made by the legendary Franco Bernabei (aka Mr Sangiovese), of course he said yes. Whilst the label might only say Chianti, the Classico quality is unmistakable: all juicy morello cherry, raspberry, plum and spice. It's superb. Need more proof?
