Tyrrell’s is one of the most famous family owned wineries in Australia, producing exemplary wines since the mid 19th century. The family can trace their history back to William the Conqueror, but first gained a foothold in Oz in the 1840s. They planted vines in the Hunter Valley in 1848, and built a winery there a decade later. Tyrrell’s are renowned for possibly the finest Semillon in the world, and produce many other wines with legendary status.

In 1955, without anyone to leave his winery and vineyards to, he chose Albert Bichot to take on and continue his legacy. A wise choice – Bichot has been rated Burgundy’s best producer of both the region's red and white wines, and a number of their releases have become one of the favourites of our customers.
Silky cherry and smoky tobacco maturity in this fine Sicilian Riserva. It blends a little juicy Cabernet with Nero d’Avola from high old vineyards, lovingly restored following a devastating earthquake. Combines berry intensity and spicy length.
